WHO WE ARE

Our History

In 2005, our founder recognized the urgent need to address poverty and its root causes. He believed in the power of sustainable development as a means to not only alleviate immediate suffering but also to build resilient communities capable of thriving in the face of adversity. With this vision, OPAD was born.

Our early years were marked by small but significant victories. We focused on grassroots initiatives, working closely with local communities to understand their unique challenges and needs. As we grew, we expanded our reach and impact, launching projects in areas such as education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

2005

In 2005, we began our journey.

2008

We can provide support to poor and marginalized communities by donating to charitable organizations, volunteering our time, and advocating for more equitable policies.

2011

In 2011, the United Nations, European Union, and other international organizations recognized and partnered with OPAD.

2014

In 2014, OPAD provided humanitarian aid to the Ebola victims in West Africa. This aid included medical supplies, food, and other resources to help those affected by the virus. We are grateful to those who donated their time and resources to help those in need.

2021

In 2021, we can make a difference in Zambia by raising awareness about the effects of Covid-19 and providing humanitarian aid to those affected.

Our Impact

Our healthcare projects have brought essential services to communities, improving health outcomes and quality of life. Through our economic empowerment programs, we have helped individuals and families break the cycle of poverty, providing them with the tools and resources to build sustainable livelihoods

Success Stories and Testimonies

The true measure of our success, however, lies in the stories of those we have helped. Stories like that of Maria, a single mother who, through our microfinance program, was able to start her own small business. Today, she not only supports her family but also employs others in her community.

Or the story of the rural community that, with our support, built a local school. Today, their children no longer have to travel long distances for education, and the community has seen a significant increase in literacy rates.

These stories, and countless others, are a testament to the power of sustainable development and the difference we can make when we work together.
